[Only a month after she moved back in (and back to her spidery self) Handler has a change of plans. She finds Peace wherever she is in the house, offering her a drink.]
Hello, dear. Everything back to as normal as it gets around here?
Hello, dear. Everything back to as normal as it gets around here?
[She smiles, chuckling at the joke.]
Thankfully, multiple faces look good on you.
[If it were her, she'd have to suffer through endless 'two faced' jokes, she's sure.
Sitting down, she takes a moment to figure out how to arrange her spidery legs properly. Having six instead of four was making things more difficult.]
I do thank you for holding on to some of my things for me, and for accepting me back into your home. It was very kind of you. [She's not used to being nice, so the compliment feels a bit awkward.] I don't know if you've heard, yet, but Five... Horatio... has bought himself his Academy building. Since our truce is still standing, he's offered me a room in it.

[Altair didn't mind Peace being a Nephilim but there was one detail that neither he or Peace wanted to talk about. Unfortunately they couldn't run away from it forever.]
Peace have you dealt with your hunger yet?
Peace have you dealt with your hunger yet?
I'll pretend I didn't hear that first part.
[He thought it was better than, hey have you eaten someone's soul yet?]
How can I help?

I think I goofed up the timeline a bit orz. Let's just pretend Altair is still a slime for this.

Less risk? I fail to see how that's possible.
[Choosing a side would automatically place someone at risk, he assumed. He didn't see any reason why this conflict should be any different from the ones he was already experienced with. In fact, choosing a side in this case seemed like it would be even more dangerous. Men could be convinced of your reasoning and see fit to forgive you. Gods had no such inclination.]

Power shifts, momentum shifts, loyalties shift.
[He sounded oddly tired.]
It's not safe to stay uninvolved, but it's far safer than choosing a side. If you have no investment in the fight beyond preserving your own safety, it's wiser to stay out of it entirely.

Oh that makes things easier. [Triffany sighs and glances around the quiet area. She's strong, but she can't carry someone all the way to a hospital.]
Uh, you're not gonna jeep coughing up blood, are ya? Cause I'm gonna have to call an ambulance at this point.

[Triffany's eyes do not leave Peace while she rests. Magic healing or not, it's rough to watch someone nearly die before her eyes and not be able to do anything.]
Alright...so you're gonna come here each night to do that? 'Cause I have a feeling it's best if you got other people doin' rites with ya. Those casualties aren't going to drop anytime soon.

[The lights in Peace's room flickered as Altair flew overhead, his shadowy crystal wings reforming into a coat of shadow as he landed on her balcony. At least he was somehow able to keep his wings during this fiasco.
He had adapted to becoming a shade quickly. It was infuriatingly similar to being a mage and he already had years of manipulating shadows under his belt. Feeling like a ghost again was an incredibly unpleasant reminder and he stubbornly maintained a solid form out of spite and so he could feel something, even just a hint. He wasn't going to let it fade into a distant memory again without a fight.
He based his solid form on a slightly younger version of himself, when he was still human. It was the same memory that he used to hold onto his humanity when he was a mage. Although this version of him had a shade's ashen skin and his hair and long coat were made of shadow. Where the fourth god's metal eyepatch used to be was the shape of a rose etched in a neon purple glow that clashed with the more natural glow from his violet eye, as if symbolizing the clash between the two gods who had branded him.
His eye narrowed at the flickering lights and out of habit he ran his hand through the shadows that made up his hair with an angry mutter.]
Why does something always have to be affected by my mood?
[The fact that he could only barely feel his hair only frustrated him further and he quickly brought his hand back down and gently knocked on the closed window. His hand tightly closed into a fist when his hand slipped through the glass on the second tap and he stubbornly refocused his anger into his hand and defiantly knocked once more, with a bit more force than he needed to.]
Peace? Are you in there?

Peace? Are you in there?
[Altair wondered the same thing. At least when he was a mage he had a physical body. Even if it hadn't felt real it was still there. It was an anchor he could rely on whenever the world started to fade under the pull of his magic. Having to constantly create something to ground him here was exhausting and more frightening than he wanted to admit. No wonder Ryou hated being a shade.
Altair panicked when he heard Peace yelp and without a second thought he phased through the window, his glowing eye wide with concern.]
Are you ok?

Are you ok?
[This was ridiculous. Altair hadn't had a cold since he was kid and he stubbornly tried to stifle a cough as he weakly stumbled into the kitchen for a glass of water. He was fine and he didn't want to worry Peace.]
[His tail twitched nervously to the side when he saw Peace had beat him to the kitchen. So much for not worrying her. He gave Peace a reassuring smile as he kissed the top of her head. He may have lingered there a bit longer than he needed to thanks to a sudden dizzy spell but he stubbornly pushed past it.]
I'm fine. Need help?
